About Signum » Overview
Signum Biosciences is a private biotechnology company dedicated to developing small-molecule therapeutics derived from its Signal Transduction Modulation (STM) platform to modulate signal transduction imbalances. Through research on protein networks that control biological systems, Signum is developing therapeutic candidates for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, asthma and certain skin conditions. Signum’s STM technology provides many opportunities for the development of novel consumer products and pharmaceutical candidates.
History
Signum was founded on the science derived from basic research studying cellular signaling at the Princeton University laboratory of Dr. Jeffry Stock. Signum in-licensed its core intellectual property from Princeton University and obtained early funding and established its laboratory near Princeton in late 2003.
Signum Founders
Jeffry Stock, PhD, Chairman, is a professor of Molecular Biology and Chemistry at Princeton. Jeffry was a co-founder of Cadus Pharmaceuticals (KDUS) and is one of the world’s leading experts in signal transduction. He is the inventor of the core technologies licensed from Princeton University.
Gregory Stock, PhD, CEO , has an MBA from Harvard and a PhD in biophysics from Johns Hopkins. Gregory has founded businesses in biotechnology and publishing, and is a best-selling author in bioethics and public policy.
